Short Course Racing in Colorado
I just started a short course off road racing org here in Colorado. SCORRTRUCKS.com was the inspiration. We had our first race on July 24th and it was a blast! If you guys ever travel out this way, bring your trucks!
I will be learning what I can from this forum about the issues related to this type of racing. I am open to any and all advice.

Re: Short Course Racing in Colorado
Well it seems somebody already took the SCORR name...
I called it "Extreme" short course as we will have some gnarly surprises at most of the tracks so I am not sure if it would be true "short course". Since there is a heavy rock racing influence in this area we might have some token rocks to conquer on the outdoor long course (certainly not for stadiums!)
Right now we are still evolving the rules for classes. We have a group of die-hard tuff truck racers that have weird truck setups that are hard to nail down in a single class. I wanted to keep the classes somewhat similar to tuff truck but for side by side "mickey thompson" style racing, the trucks need to be more equal.
The V8 modified class (die hard tuff truck guys) consisted of 5 trucks. Watching all 5 trucks go full throttle around the course was very exciting. A couple trucks tangled in the corner which caused a tire to pop and a drag link to break. The truck with the busted link finished the heat with one wheel flopping. The crowd loved it. They had never seen this type of racing. They have seen circle track, rock racing and demo derby but this had to top them all!
I will post more photos/video to my site this week.
